The Employers Health Risk Consortium

The EHRC is the small to mid-size business solution to health insurance pricing problems.

When the ACA passed in 2010, many small businesses were faced with a problem they had no idea how to solve. In 2014, we launched a solution to their health insurance pricing problems, called the Employers Health Risk Consortium, or EHRC, with 14 small businesses, about 500 enrolled employees, and around 1000 total enrolled members based throughout Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.

What is the EHRC?

consortium: "\kən-ˈsȯr-sh(ē-)ə, -ˈsȯr-tē-ə\ also consortiums; an agreement, combination, or group (as of companies) formed to undertake an enterprise beyond the resources of any one member"

The Employers Health Risk Consortium is a collective that partners with organizations to help them navigate the insurance market as an entity greater than the sum of its parts. We help employers feel peace of mind through enabling them to have more control, experience transparency, and become more long-term goal oriented; all while assisting their employees with making better health care decisions.

The EHRC Today

Today the EHRC has expanded to include 95+ different employers throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region who employ between 10-500+ people in a variety of industries, has 5000+ employees enrolled, and 7500+ total enrolled people.
