Who We Are
The EHRC was started in Harrisonburg, VA by LD&B Insurance and Financial Services and their partner vendors in 2014 as an answer for small businesses who were facing rising premiums as a result of the ACA.
The EHRC has figured out how to help business owners and their employees experience control, transparency, and ultimately peace of mind when buying and using Health Insurance. In today’s health insurance marketplace, this looks like our brokers sitting on the same side of the table as the buyer, understand what the buyer’s needs are, and working together to develop a plan that puts the buyer’s needs over the seller’s wants.
Since 2014, the EHRC has grown to include organizations from a wide variety of industries throughout the United States . Today the EHRC continues to pursue its mission to shift power from the seller to the buyer, control claims costs, and in the long-run, provide small businesses with opportunities they would typically not have if they continue the cycle of switching between traditional health insurance options.
What We Value
The EHRC was founded on the idea that you shouldn’t have to settle when it comes to your health insurance. We consistently work with our employer members to help them make the best choices for their businesses as the health insurance marketplace continues to change.
If you’re going to make the best decisions for your business, you need to know where your money is going. How can you make the necessary changes without knowing the “why” behind them? We give our members access to the information, data, and insights they need to make decisions that not only make sense, but are backed up by facts.
We want our members to be in it for the long haul. Rather than endlessly chasing the lowest premium prices, we want them to experience the stability and peace of mind of a long-term partnership. Coupled with our other values, the EHRC gives businesses the information and the power to make changes that take the guesswork out of health insurance and help set them up for long term success.
We care about our members and work with them as partners instead selling to them as customers. The EHRC is a long-term option, and as a result, relies on the relationship we have with our members to ensure that they succeed not only when they’ve had a good year, but also when they’ve had a bad one.
Customer over Company
We believe we should always do what is right for the customer first and foremost, not necessarily what is most lucrative for our company. We know that the EHRC is not for everyone, and though we want as many people as possible to be a part of it, if you aren’t the right fit, we won’t try to force it.
